Overview

During a 3-day Innovation Blitz at ScienceLogic, I led UX design for a smartwatch prototype that extended our platform to wearable tech. I defined the vision, created a high-fidelity Figma prototype, and demoed the concept at a company-wide event. The project placed 2nd out of 20+ teams and later evolved into a working prototype.

NOAA (CSU): Research-driven redesign of a weather app

Overview

I led UX research and design for NOAA’s IDSS Engine prototype, improving usability for weather forecasters. I created personas, mapped user flows, and built a custom design system aligned with NOAA’s brand. Through iterative testing and collaboration with developers, we delivered a more intuitive, accessible, and effective decision-support tool.

Intrado: Award-winning mobile app for school incident management

UX Designer • 2015 - 2020 • 6 person cross-functional team

Overview

I spearheaded the design of Safety Shield, a mobile and web platform enabling school staff to manage emergencies with clear plans and resources. I conducted information architecture mapping, iterative prototyping, and usability testing to ensure a streamlined user experience. The app earned multiple accolades, including the 2021 EdTech Digest Award for Best Security Solution.
